Discover the most beautiful beaches on the Island of Elba
The Island of Elba has countless beaches, all characterized by great diversity and able to satisfy everyone's needs and tastes. Sandy beaches alternate with gravel beaches, long shores and lonely hidden coves, some of which can only be reached by sea. In this short digital tour we will show you some of them, to give you a taste of what awaits you on Elba.
PADULELLA
Located in the municipality of Portoferraio, Padulella is one of the most popular beaches on Elba due to its striking beauty. The beach is surrounded by high white rocks that plunge into a crystalline sea of a turquoise blue in a delicate balance of colors and emotions. The beach, 150 meters long, is made up of small pebbles of smooth gravel. North facing it is highly recommended with southerly winds.
BIODOLA
Also in the municipality of Portoferraio we find the Biodola beach, located inside the gulf of the same name, formed by a 560 meters long strip of fine and clear sand. It stands out for the great abundance of offers: courses, excursions, rental of any type of vessel. It is recommended for families and all those who want quiet entertainment close at hand.
CAPO BIANCO
On the Ferraiese side stands the beach of Capo Bianco, highly appreciated for its suggestive beauty. The beach is bordered by high white rocks that plunge directly into the sea. Blue of the water, white of the rocks and green of the surrounding vegetation create a wonderful balance of colors.
CAVOLI
In the municipality of Campo nell'Elba, along the infamous Costa del Sole, we find one of the most famous beaches on the island of Elba for its beauty, the clarity of the sea and its grainy sand.
The beach of Cavoli, about 300 meters long, rises on the slopes of Monte Capanne. From the beach you can admire the islands of Pianosa and Montecristo.
FETOVAIA
Shortly after Cavoli we find the wonderful Fetovaia, one of the most evocative beaches of the island. The cove is in fact inserted in a natural context between sand, granite cliffs, the blue of the sea and the green of the dense vegetation. About 200 meters long, it is made up of fine golden granite sand. It is protected by a long promontory which takes the name of Punta Fetovaia, which provides a natural barrier against the wind. A very popular destination for young people and families.
LACONA
In the municipality of Capoliveri there is the wide beach of Lacona. With almost 1200 meters in length, Lacona owes its fame to the fine and golden sand and to the landscape and natural context. In fact, on the back of the beach there are large pine forests and dunes protected by the Tuscan Archipelago Park Authority. Ideal for families and young people, the beach offers large stretches of free beach and numerous equipped establishments.
LACONELLA
A little further on the beach of Lacona, divided by Punta della Contessa (in the photo) we find the small and reserved beach of Laconella. A small cove for the right privacy and relaxation.
CAPO SANT'ANDREA
The huge flat and smooth granite rocks, the seabed that is immediately deep, an active underwater life and the emerald green color of the water: this is certainly the corner dedicated to those who love the sea and nature. After a sunbath, a long swim in the clear waters will help you discover why Elba is synonymous with biodiversity.
